We are honored to award Jimena Trujillo with a scholarship towards her art education. Jimena specializes in relief as her form of print making. She submitted several pieces to be considered, but when asked to describe her favorite piece she chose a carved woodblock. The woodblock is based on man and the devil, a study based on work by Jose Guadalupe Posada. Jimena integrates influences of hispanic heritage into much of her artwork. She currently attends Wichita State University and intends to pursue her Masters at University of Kansas. Jimena’s work is featured below and we look forward to all of the incredible work she continues to create in the future!
